Friends come from all circles

Friendship, socialization, and isolation, in my opinion, are some of the most difficult issues persons with autism spectrum disorder experience, especially after they finish the K-12 system. In many cases you are given an "antiquated map" of resources and told you no longer fall under IDEA, and good luck! Parents and loved ones often do not know how to support families, and it becomes overwhelming to find inclusive spaces for your loved one to thrive. Our former caregiver, now life coach, Cynthia Mettling, has spent a lifetime helping kids connect. I am grateful that even in her retirement she understands the value of helping persons who find it difficult to make friends connect. After all, we are ALL HUMAN!
